No need of electric supply. You can charge your mobile with USB point provided( Cable not included).Main control unit can be freely put on floor.If sun is not available in some days then battery can be charged with suitable electric adopter.There are 3 spare light socket provided but user should use as per requirement because more the load, lesser the backup time of battery. Battery is with BMS(battery management system) for extended life ..
